New Low-cost airline chooses Cardiff as its base

A new budget airline operating flights across Europe is to be based at Cardiff International Airport.

The first passengers are expected to travel with company flyforbeans later this year. The airline will offer routes to several destinations including France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Eastern Europe.

Up to 100 new jobs will initially be created by the venture, with more expected as the airline grows.

Managing director of flyforbeans Tim Lee said: 'Flyforbeans will be a European airline headquartered in Wales. We will be a truly low-cost airline and be dedicated to great value and excellent, friendly service.

'The flyforbeans senior management team have more than a century of experience combined in the international aviation industry.
