Low-cost carriers storm Bulgarian market

Low-cost air carriers will expand their operations in Bulgaria even before the start of the 2007 tourist season. UK Sterling and Germany's Germanwings are already starting to service fights to and from Bourgas, while Wizz Air, Sky Europe and Norwegian Air Shuttle will follow suit in the summer.

The local aviation market is already shifting towards the coastal cities, Kalin Barzov, executive director of the Bourgas airport, said.
