British Airways franchise partner, GB Airways, is to begin flights between Gibraltar and Madrid this summer.

GB Airways said it would begin a daily service on May 1 and that it would code share with Spanish carrier Iberia, with flights departing Gibraltar at 7.40pm arriving at 9pm and a return service leaving Madrid at 9.30pm arriving at 10.40pm.

GB Airways’ Kevin Hatton said: “Gibraltar is at the very heart of the airline and we are very pleased developing Gibraltar’s air services. Our partnership with Iberia is key to the development and the schedule opens up the possibility of short business trips to the Rock and the surrounding region. ”
One-way fares will start at £32 plus taxes from Gibraltar, €48 plus taxes from Madrid.
