bmibaby to Jersey

BMI the second largest airline at Heathrow have announced a twice daily service from it's London Heathrow hub to Jersey.

This new service which will start from 25 March re-links the island to Heathrow after British Airways pulled off the route six years ago. Huge demand is expected on the route due to the many offshore finance centres based in the island. It is also good news for the residents of Jersey who will not only have greater access for onward connections but will also be able to interline onto the other Star Alliance carriers with services from Heathrow.

BMI will face tough competiton on the route as the island is already has established services to Gatwick by British Airways and Flybe along with a daily weekday service to London City airport with VLM.

This is being operated by bmi regional, not bmibaby. Heathrow is far too expensive for the baby airline (ditto Ryanair, easyjet etc)
